Ross Brooke announces merger deal with Brading CryerPosted 2015 by admin
The Chartered Accountancy practices of Ross Brooke and Brading Cryer have merged in a deal that both firms have described as a perfect match and Alan Gibson, Brading Cryer’s Managing Director is joining Ross Brooke as a Director and Shareholder.
The combined firm will have 5 partners, 17 specialist managers and over 20 accounting and support staff across the three offices, making it a real force in the Thames Valley.
Alan Gibson said “This decision has not been taken lightly and I have spent a considerable amount of time getting to know Ross Brooke, their partners and key staff to ensure that their ethos and approach to clients closely matches ours. We have been providing high quality business and tax advice in Hungerford for over 50 years, by merging we are gaining access to a wide range of specialist skills across a large number of increasingly complex areas, and with an enlarged group of professionals we also add depth to our resources and knowledge all of which will allow us to provide an even better service and will benefit clients.”
“Just in the last year we have seen more changes in tax legislation and pensions than we have seen over many years and these will all require our clients to have access to additional services to ensure the best outcome for them. “
Chris Davies a director of Ross Brooke who originally trained with Brading Cryer was equally upbeat “We have had our eyes on Brading Cryer for some time. They are a long established firm and have a great reputation throughout the area for quality advice. We too have established an enviable reputation for quality tax planning, accountancy, audit and cloud services, and their services are very much complementary to ours. We are particularly pleased that Alan will be joining us as a director as he brings with him some very strong experience in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance as well as continuing to look after Brading Cryer’s strong client base. Alan’s proactive management and the firms experienced staff were very attractive to us. The combined firm will certainly strengthen our position in the marketplace.”
