Need help filing your Self Assessment tax return?
HMRC may have asked you to file a Self Assessment tax return because of your income, savings, property or other sources that are not fully dealt with through PAYE. We prepare accurate returns, check that allowances and reliefs are applied where they should be, and can deal with HMRC on your behalf.

Why use an accountant
Some tax returns are simple. Others take more care. Everyone wants the same result: to pay the correct amount of tax, a smooth filing process and fewer hours spent worrying about HMRC.
Our personal tax team will collect the details we need, prepare your tax return, check that the figures are complete, make sure you have claimed any allowances that apply, file the return on time and tell you how much tax to pay and when to pay it. We also deal with HMRC on your behalf if they raise questions.

Self Assessment tax return frequently asked questions
How much does a Self Assessment tax return cost
Fees vary with the level of detail in your affairs. A return that covers employment and a single rental property will normally cost less than a return that includes several properties, capital gains or overseas income. We can agree the fee with you before we start work.
Do I need an accountant for my tax return
You can file your own tax return, but many people prefer to use an accountant for the reassurance that the figures are correct, the deadlines are met and any reliefs that apply are considered.
Can you help if I have missed the filing deadline
Yes. We can prepare and submit the return, explain any penalties and help you set up a payment plan with HMRC if needed.
Can you act for me if HMRC opens an enquiry
Yes. We can handle all contact with HMRC, explain what they can ask for and guide you through the process.
Do you only help local clients
No. While many clients are close to our offices in Newbury, Swindon and Abingdon, we also support people from across the UK and abroad. Location is not an obstacle.
