A day at the races

At UHY Ross Brooke, we’re very keen on supporting the local community, and especially so, when we can have some fun too.

On Friday 21st July, our directors and senior managers entertained some of our clients and contacts at Newbury Racecourse, sponsoring the 4.10 Fillies’ Handicap Stakes (Class 3) race.

After a trip inside the parade ground to see the horses up close and personal, we were invited as sponsors into the Royal Box for a glass of champagne and to watch the race, overlooking the finishing post.

While one of our directors was especially excited to see a famous actor there, the rest of us focused on the race which was won by Night Sparkle.

After Newbury office director Dean Blunden had awarded the trophy to the winners, our guests returned to watch the rest of the races from our box in the Berkshire stand, where they enjoyed lunch and afternoon tea.

Our thanks to Newbury Racecourse for an excellent afternoon’s racing, and to our colleagues and guests for joining us and helping to make our day special.
