French culture came to Newbury market place in June when the market place was transformed into a boules piste.
Our Newbury Tax Director, Phil Kinzett-Evans normally sports a purple tie and natty shoes, but on Sunday, he was dressed down and busy helping to run the annual “Boules in the Square” event, as part of his involvement with the Rotary Club of Newbury. The Boules tournament ran throughout the day, with a number of local teams competing.
UHY Ross Brooke was one of the sponsors for this event, contributing towards the total profit of £4,100 which was split between New Life, Time to Talk, Home-Start West Berkshire and Newbury RDA. The Rotary Club of Newbury raises a significant amount for local charities and participates in various fun and worthy activities throughout the year.
