Ross Brooke Estate Planning LLP

A Will takes away the worry of what happens to your property and possessions and ensures your wishes are granted after your death. A Will can also make sure you don’t pay more Inheritance Tax than you need to. If you have children under the age of 18 it’s a good time to have a Will put into place to give you piece of mind that you know who their guardians will be. We can work with you to ensure everything is covered, just as you would wish.

Probate and estate administration

We can help you with the estate administration if you have been appointed executor in a Will. This process can often seem straight forward but often it’s lengthy with many steps which have to be taken in the correct order. We can work with you to understand all the assets of the estate and prepare the inheritance tax forms. We can apply for the Grant of Probate on your behalf which then will give the executors the control of the assets. After probate has been granted we can collect in the assets on your behalf and then distribute according to the Will. We can guide you through the process and you can choose how much of the process you wish us to do.

Lasting Power of Attorney

There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney – Property and Financial Affairs, and Heath and Welfare. You can choose to complete one or both. Whatever your age, if something unexpected happened and you were unable to make your own decisions this would ensure the people you trust were able to make decisions for you.
