All our teams are trained internally and are focused on helping you to determine what prosperity means for you.
If we’re coming in to undertake your audit or to support with all the commercial accounting needs for your business, we will invest time with you and your team, not just from the outset, but throughout so that we truly know the business and your long-term goals. As well as ensuring you receive a robust and high-quality service with a pragmatic and commercial approach, we will want to support you by sharing our insights and experiences to add real value to our engagement with you. We will be looking for improvements to efficiencies through tweaks to your systems and processes, but also looking to contribute to your strategic decision-making.
We are immensely proud of the longevity of our client relationships, having grown with many of our clients over decades. Helping our communities prosper
We recognise the importance of contributing to a community with whom we are inextricably linked. We offer work experience and internships to students in Berkshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, support local charities, and encourage our team members in their personal fundraising and volunteering efforts.
Here are some of the ways the staff and UHY Ross Brooke helped our local communities in 2022/2023:
- Katie, Emily & Lisa supported RUNvember in November last year, collecting 10 bags of donations for local homelessness charities from our 4 offices
- Swindon Payroll team collected donations for Cotswold Cats & Dogs – donating 11 shoeboxes of goodies
- Coffee mornings: The Swindon MacMillan coffee morning raised £450, Brew Together (Bowel Cancer) by Swindon raised £113, Newbury hosted a coffee morning for Newbury Cancer Care, and with donations from Hungerford they raised a tidy sum.
- Shelterbox, the UHY charity 2022/23 received almost £1000 from our 3 peaks challenge team, and £105 from a Skittles evening with Swindon and Hungerford offices.
- Swindon are also running a rounders evening in July for the Teenage Cancer Trust which is the UHY national charity for 2023
- Raffle prize donations included Champagne for Mencap, prizes to a Newbury primary school
- Sponsorship: Newbury Phoenix Rotary Club received £500 sponsorship for the Boules in the Square event, while Abingdon sponsored Breathingspace £1,500 and provided refreshments for a sponsored bike ride.
We have a programme of corporate social responsibility initiatives. As part of this programme, our teams across the UK vote to select a national charity to support on an annual basis, with this year’s fundraising efforts dedicated to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Last year we supported Shelterbox.
