With all our thoughts currently on the fantastic work that the NHS do, the amazing achievements of Captain (now Colonel) Tom Moore and the 75th VE Anniversary celebrations, many of us have been digging deep into our pockets and making donations to support the outstanding work that these charities do.
We are delighted to be partnered with Oxford Brookes University on their ACES project (Accounting for Community: Engaging Students) This week 16 undergraduates came to our office in Abingdon for a Charity Accounting Workshop. As a result the students are now equipped to provide local charities with basic accounting services.
Last week, one of our staff Jenny Bowden, met Judith Colby from the Lions Club of Newbury Charity Fireworks who explained that thousands of Newbury locals responded with disappointment when they learnt earlier this year that the annual fireworks at Newbury Racecourse were cancelled.
