ATT Tax Senior vacancy – Swindon, Wiltshire

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented ATT Tax Technician to join our firm. The ideal candidate will be ATT-qualified or possess equivalent experience, with a strong focus on personal tax compliance. This role also involves handling trust and estate tax compliance and supporting Senior Management with research for larger projects. Accuracy, professionalism, and commitment to high standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Self-manage a portfolio of clients, including owners of private companies, high net worth individuals, trusts, and estates, under the guidance of the firm’s Associate Tax Director
- Prepare and submit Self-Assessment tax returns for clients
- Complete and assist with 60-day CGT reporting
- Preparation of IHT compliance for Relevant Property Trusts
- Maintain client relationships through email and telephone contact, and support others in client meetings
- Correspond with HMRC concerning routine tax matters (i.e. tax codes, checking repayments/tax calculations), as well as more complex tax cases and HMRC enquiries
- Review and support others on tax compliance matters
- Assist the Associate Tax Director with tax advisory projects, when required
Person specification
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be ATT qualified or qualified by experience
- Have experience in managing a personal tax portfolio
- Trust and estate tax knowledge is desirable but not essential
- Have good IT capabilities and be comfortable using the Microsoft Office package
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Be able to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Have a proactive approach to delivering a first-class and professional service to our clients
- Be organised and able to meet deadlines

Working arrangements
The working week: Normal hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, to be worked from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Location: Principal work base is our Swindon office in Wiltshire.
