Research and Development Tax claim eligibility
Are you eligible? How much might you be able to claim? What are the typical costs involved? Find out here
Research and development tax claims and tax credits are available to companies undertaking projects that seek an advance in science or technology through the resolution of scientific or technological uncertainties.
Small and medium size companies can claim up to an extra 130% of the expenditure incurred on R&D, so for every £1,000 actually spent on R&D, £2,300 can be offset against a company’s taxable profits.
Who can claim R&D tax relief?
Contrary to popular relief, R&D Tax Relief is not only available to men in white coats in laboratories. This valuable tax relief is available to a great many more businesses, but on far too many occasions, the opportunity to claim is simply missed.
It is estimated that less than 1 in 10 companies that could make a claim, actually do so and consequently millions of pounds in tax relief are wasted every year.
To ensure that your claim is fully maximised, we have invested in specialist R&D software and employ a team of experienced R&D expert accountants with a proven track record of submitting and agreeing R&D claims with HMRC.
